Thermal Stability of Amorphous Solid Dispersions

چکیده

Amorphous solid dispersion drug delivery systems (ASD DDS) were proved to be efficient for the enhancement of solubility and bioavailability poorly water-soluble drugs. One major keys successful preparation ASD is selection appropriate excipients, mostly polymers, which have a crucial role in improving its physical stability. Even though, excipients should chemically inert, there some evidence that polymers can affect thermal stability active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). The closely related shelf-life products therefore it matter high relevance. An overview amorphous solids provided this paper. Evaluation perceived from physicochemical perspective, kinetic (motions) thermodynamic (energy) point view, focusing on activation energy fragility, as well all other relevant parameters design, with glance computational analysis solid-state decomposition.
